At Girls in STEAM, our mission is to increase accessibility to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & design) education for girls, women, gender-diverse individuals and the LGBTQ+ community across North America. We continuously strive to be an inclusive community by ensuring that our resources and events are available to everyone.

Girls in STEAM is committed to fostering an inclusive community with people from various walks of life, whether it be different backgrounds, races, religions, ethnicity, age, heritage, gender identity, sexual orientations, or beliefs. We value the ideas that our membership brings and hope to incorporate these ideas into the work that we do. Just like you, we are continuously learning and growing from our experiences as individuals and as members of Girls in STEAM, so we appreciate your insights and patience with our team.

We recognize that “girls”, “female”, or “women” might not be the term that many identify with, and they may make some feel unwelcome. We would like to acknowledge that gender is a spectrum—our goal is to celebrate diversity in tech by creating a safe space for underrepresented groups.
